U.S. military: Senior al Qaeda chief killed in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- The U.S. military announced Wednesday that coalition forces recently killed al Qaeda in Iraq's "charismatic" senior leader in northern Iraq.

Abu Qaswarah, also known as Abu Sara, was killed during an operation in Mosul on October 5, the military said.

The Moroccan native was second-in-command to al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) leader Abu Ayyub al-Masri, according to the military. He had "historic ties" to al-Masri's predecessor, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, and senior al Qaeda leaders in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the military said...

If I was to die before being taken I guess this is what I want written about me in the newspaper articles. It's a good legacy to have I recon. I don't wish to be a martyr, I would like to be harpazoed outta here but, you know...

Shame, if only they (media, politicians, people in general, etc.) could read the message behind it and see what's happening and what's about to happen. Because of their blindness many people during the Trib will have this written concerning them: "Reason for death: accepting the mark of Allah because either 1) I was a victim and was blind to it or 2) I was a leader and I pushed the moral code of PC to the forefront." Well this will be written against their legacy, probably won't be found in the newspapers due to political correctness, but it will be the real cause of death.

'Many dead' as blasts hit Somali cities

(CNN) -- Three suicide car bombers on Wednesday struck government buildings and a United Nations office leaving at least 19 people dead in a rare attack in a normally peaceful breakaway region of Somalia, the region's president said.

Dahir Rayale Kahin, leader of Somaliland, said his personal secretary was killed in the attacks which targeted the Ethipopan consulate where scores were lining up for visas, a U.N. building and the presidential palace in the capital Hargeisa.

A hospital nurse in the city put the death toll at 50.

Kahin said the blasts were an attack on "the nationhood" of Somaliland -- an autonomous region of northern Somalia that has its own government but is not internationally recognized.

"We will do everything to know who is behind the attack," he told reporters.

I don`t think it`ll be too hard to figure out who is behind these attacks. Think of a word that begins with `I` and ends with `m.`

Well it's definitely not the great I AM! Though Man will do everything he has to blame it on Him, so much so that they will try snuff the Jews out. And we on this forum already know this.

"Let's go celebrate tonight as from tomorrow onwards I'll have the greatest time of my life," unfortunately the night of boozing caused Mr Man to press the wrong button, he switched the alarm off instead of hitting the snooze button, eliminating any further alarms such as these Somali bombs. Tomorrow is great Day of Yah, His cabbie is doing the rounds of collecting His people, the ones that wake up. For those that woke up with the alarm, for them their future is secure. For them that hit the snooze button and woke up from the next alarm, their future is secure as well but will have far less time to prepare. Thankfully there are a number of snoozes left until the maximum limit, for some they will wake up in the nick of time, not even having a chance to change and brush teeth but will run out in their pyjamas with stinky breath. But Mr Man won't wake up, the cab will arrive and he won't be ready. This cabbie won't hang around, if you're not waiting outside you're not in. Mr Man thinks his future is secure, he thinks that one more night of partying won't do any harm, but he is wrong. The greatest time of his life will become the worst time of his life.

Amnesty: Rape girl, 13, killed for adultery

MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) -- A 13-year-old girl who said she had been raped was stoned to death in Somalia after being accused of adultery by Islamic militants, a human rights group said.

Dozens of men stoned Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow to death Oct. 27 in a stadium packed with 1,000 spectators in the southern port city of Kismayo, Amnesty International and Somali media reported, citing witnesses. The Islamic militia in charge of Kismayo had accused her of adultery after she reported that three men had raped her, the rights group said.

Initial local media reports said Duhulow was 23, but her father told Amnesty International she was 13. Some of the Somali journalists who first reported the killing later told Amnesty International that they had reported she was 23 based upon her physical appearance.

Calls to Somali government officials and the local administration in Kismayo rang unanswered Saturday.

"This child suffered a horrendous death at the behest of the armed opposition groups who currently control Kismayo," David Copeman, Amnesty International's Somalia campaigner, said in a statement Friday.

Somalia is among the world's most violent and impoverished countries. The nation of some 8 million people has not had a functioning government since warlords overthrew a dictator in 1991 then turned on each other.

A quarter of Somali children die before age 5; nearly every public institution has collapsed. Fighting is a daily occurrence, with violent deaths reported nearly every day.

Islamic militants with ties to al-Qaida have been battling the government and its Ethiopian allies since their combined forces pushed the Islamists from the capital in December 2006. Within weeks of being driven out, the Islamists launched an insurgency that has killed thousands of civilians.

In recent months, the militants appear to be gaining strength. The group has taken over the port of Kismayo, Somalia's third-largest city, and dismantled pro-government roadblocks. They also effectively closed the Mogadishu airport by threatening to attack any plane using it.

Shabbat Shalom,

Sad but true... you cannot bring change to people who resist change because they continue to view you as the eternal enemy. The Marshall plan succeeded in bringing back Japan and Germany because we made friends out of them and the people wanted change. However, these Muslims do not want to be saved by infidels... and would rather live in poverty and dire straits than be held beholden to their sworn enemies. Iran, Afghanistan and Iraq are lost causes and the best that can be done is a cautious withdrawal and a full recognition of the real cause of the world's troubles and not hide behind political correctness.
The reverence of Yahweh is the beginning of Wisdom.
