Yahweh doesn't want religion anywhere near His most greatest sacrifice.

Yup, that's true because Yahwheh's Covenant to us is declared in Isaiah 42:5-7 to be Yahshua. He is the One way to Yahweh, it's His blood and His flesh that provide us with salvation. All the other covenants, such as with Noah, Abraham, Moses, and with David all point towards Yahshua, they teach us specific things about the way to Yahweh.

I should also point out that the oldest manuscripts we have of Tertullian's works are from the 8th Century CE - 6 Centuries after Tertullian had died. So whilst they may give an overall insight into the mind of Tertullian, it would be wise to also take into account that not everything said is actually what Tertullian wrote - who knows what sort of tampering they have done to Tertullian's manuscripts. The Catholics weren't above editing manuscripts of the Tanakh and the Renewed Covenant, so there'd be no reason to think that they wouldn't edit the manuscripts of the Early writers as well.
