Shalom,
Hey Mike! How's it going? Dallas TEA Party, huh? Nice site... should be replicated in all cities with a population of over 7,000 people. Coming by anytime soon? We'll have out own tea party again, perhaps in another location other than the Petronas Twin Towers. Sure better than Obamastan's gulags!
Bridget, I admire your optimism, but I think that the future is even bigger than the "ole US of A." So much has been happening and James is right about ignorance and apathy, which impermeates all developed nations. The people have become insensitive to others and think themselves immune to evil. The governments they have elected have decided to curse Israel and our Creator, and we all know the outcome of that. There is no way out other than national repentance for national salvation, and that will not happen in Obamastan or even after Obama.
Individuals who develop their relationship with Yahweh shall have a chance at avoiding all the impending tragedies, but how does a country escape tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, drought, blight, plagues, asteroids or a super volcano? None of these are man-made! And we have not even mentioned "man-made disasters" like nuclear war and sabotage to critical facilities like water reservoirs, nuclear power stations, dams, ports, etc. by your enemies within! These things will increase as long as the country stays this path, and they will not change because they want their liberty to slap each other and the Creator in the face.
Don't get me wrong... I like visiting the USA and I know that most people there are decent folks earning an honest living, and I appreciate the blessings that have come through the nation, especially the sacrifice of your armed forces. Independence Day means a lot to the "free world" and not just for you, for without the USA's involvement we would not be living freely but under the yoke of Japanese Imperialism and Germano-Italian Fascists.
However, what is written will come to pass! So instead of trying in futility to change the course of future history, I've decided to look for people who are trying to change themselves and hang out together. Which has brought me to this site. And instead of living as a pessimist knowing what will happen, I've decide to look over the event horizon and appreciate the peace that will come with Him and being able to be a part of that Work then as part of His Family. If this is not reason enough for hope, then nothing will matter anymore.
The reverence of Yahweh is the beginning of Wisdom.
