Taken from the book I mentioned earlier - The Ancient Hebrew Language and Alphabet

I looked at the meanings given for the various letters and thought that there MAY be something interesting here.


Meaning Symbol
Yad = Work Hand
Hey / Heh = Behold / Look Man with raised arms pointing at something
Waw = Secure Peg used to secure tent to ground
Heh / Hey = previous definition or possibly initiation into spiritually crossing over, that is, in the changing of a person's name (e.g., abrm to abrhm)

The last bullet is taken from page 41 of "In the Beginning - A short history of the Hebrew language" by Joel M. Hoffman.
