And (wa) unto (‘el – toward) your husband (‘ish – man) you
will have strong emotional feelings (tasuqah – desires and longings) and (wa) he
(huw’) will have dominion (mashal – rule) over (ba ‘eth – in association with)
you.’” (Bare’syth / In the Beginning / Genesis 3:16)

We know that Yahowah doesn't approve of ruling over
one another, so couldn't this read :

will have dominion (mashal – rule) with (ba ‘eth – in association with) you.’”

ba – near, with, and in proximity to (only thing I could find
about "ba")

854 'eth ayth
probably from 579; properly, nearness (used only as a preposition or an adverb), near; hence, generally, with, by,
at, among, etc.:--against, among, before, by, for, from, in(-to), (out) of, with. Often with another prepositional
prefix. see SH579

Needhelp
I don't know where Yah says he doesn't approve of ruling over one another.

S4910 mashal meaning ( to rule ) is used 81x

I have noticed a difference in how one rules i. e.  towb ( good )  or  ra ( evil )

These are a few definitions on the Bass Pro advertisement page.
I see nothing good here. Suboordination , submission ,
obedience. Give me a break. Male or female , this is no good.
What happened to Freewill???
And where is "ba ‘eth"

Hi Needhelp

If rule is not the correct translation for mashal
What should the correct translation be for mashal ?

I don't see baeth used in Exodus 3 : 16 in the original Hebrew

Should the man be the head of the family?

Genesis 3 : 17

17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’:

adam amar shama qowl ishshah akal ets

S120 adam              S559 amar                                            S8085 shama
man; mankind;          to say, speak,             because             to hear

S6963 qowl                     S802 ishshah             S398 akal        S6086 ets
to call aloud; a voice          female, wife               to eat           a tree

Seams like part of Adams punishment was for listening to his wife.
Although I can't say, " I would not have done the same thing "

Needhelp,
You asked,  " what happened to free will ? "

Our free will is the choice to "do " or " not do" what our rulers tell us.
