Hi all

What translations/books should I get or focus on in the logos library? I'm overwhelmed with the various studies, journals, essays etc which are mostly irrelevant and errant.

Thanks

I am in the same boat. I don't want to spend hard earned money for things I don't need.

1.  " The Interlinear Hebrew- Aramaic Old Testament " Jay P Green

2. "The New Strong's Expanded Dictionary of Bible Words"
the initial word translations in Strongs are ok but look out for the Expository

3. "The Strongest Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible"

These are a good place to start. You can get them from a book store or Amazon

If you have Logos I have created several tutorials that are available free on the forum to aide you in learning to use it. RIGHT HERE

I recently purchased a second-hand copy of Logos OL. I am waiting to purchase a new computer, so I haven't downloaded the Logos OL file yet. Would Logos work well on an iPad, or shall I stick with Windows operating system?

Hi Sarah
Tks
I was unaware that there was an iPad app for logos until I looked this morning. I have the logos program on my computer in our back room office but I have not been using very much because I prefer reading in a more comfortable chair on the iPad.

I found this app just now and I'll try to down load it this weekend and see how it works.

Well so far the app seams to work ok. You still need a registered copy of logos to get the translation tools.

I like the translation tool in the app that just gives the translated word or words without the Expository ( christian comintaries )

My iPad is old ( one of the first ) it shuts down if I try and open to much info.

I still like using the inter linear hard bound because I can see all the Hebrew words at one time( probably because I'm old and prefer books ) and easer for me to navigate.

So far I would say that the app is a useful tool

Thanks sarah for bringing it to my attention

I do have a registered Logos OL package. Can an iPad house the whole program, or do I house the program on a desktop computer and then use the iPod app to see/use Logos on the iPad?

I was able to use my iPad as soon as I downloaded the app entered my email address and logos password. I'm not an expert but I don't think you need a desktop computer. My desktop computer is not turned on

The iPad does not store the logos program. I don't know if I'm explaining this right but the iPad works online with logos server .

Hi Sarah

Today while using or playing with the iPad logos program I noticed it did not have some of the functions of the desktop. The iPad does not have the exegetical function. There may be more.

I  found this statement on the logos site.
Not all Logos Desktop resources are available on Mobile devices as a result of publisher licensing constraints.

You still might need both iPad and desktop

For me I still like using the books listed above for translating entire verses and the iPad is good for quick word look up.
