Always seeking to find external verification of the Yada & KP's writings, I found "The Problem of Paul" on the positiveatheism.org web site. Here is the last paragraph from the first chapter:

Quote:
So Paul's claim to expert Pharisee learning is relevant to a very important and central issue -- whether Christianity, in the form given to it by Paul, is really continuous with Judaism or whether it is a new doctrine, having no roots in Judaism, but deriving, in so far as it has an historical background, from pagan myths of dying and resurrected gods and Gnostic myths of heaven-descended redeemers. Did Paul truly stand in the Jewish tradition, or was he a person of basically Hellenistic religious type, but seeking to give a colouring of Judaism to a salvation cult that was really opposed to everything that Judaism stood for?

The author has connected many of the same dots (or should I say 'jots'?) that Yada has in Questioning Paul. He has done this from (as best I can tell) an Atheistic/Talmudic point of view. The advantage of this is that none of Yada's venom against christianity is included, as the author seems to have nothing invested in christianity. Nor does the author seem to be very interested in converting anyone to any system of beliefs/practices. He seems to just be pointing out "The Problem of Paul" in the historical-political context.

Interesting material that more or less tracks with Yada's hatchet job on Paul.

Here are some other good links for Paul reading.

Lots of info on Paul from a Jewish (Non Rabbinical) perspective.

Jesus Words only, excellent online book

Voice of Jesus

Is it heresy to call Paul a heretic?

http://www.serveyahweh.org/Paul/heretic.htm

Truthseekers website, tons of Paul stuff, some good, some not so good.

http://www.truthseekers....ontent/category/5/16/32/

Paul founder of churchianity

http://www.sullivan-county.com/news/paul/paul.htm

Shaul who was called Paul

http://qumran.com/Paul/

The Paul problem

JudaismvsChristianity (non Rabbinical)

http://www.judaismvschristianity.com/

All of them are pretty good reads. What did it for me though was simply going through his letters line by line. The problem is not just translations, or a verse here or there, the problem is the over all theology of Paul, or whoever wrote various letters.

Regarding this guy: http://www.bethelministries.com/MESSIANIC_JEWS.htm

44 quotations from Paul
1 from Luke (Paul's defense attorney)
1 from Matthew
1 from John
1 from James

2% of the time he quotes Yahushua

4% of the time he quotes the disciples

2% of the time he quotes Yahushua's brother

91.6% of the time he quotes Paul

WHO DOES THIS GUY PUT HIS TRUST IN?

91% of the time, it is Paul.

Everybody in the bible, from Moses to John, says Torah!, Torah!, Torah!, EXCEPT PAUL!

ugg what a trash website. Gotta love how he calls people who keep the commandments are OCCULT members. not just the normal christian attack of "Cult members". Of course this should not surprise me as I have had so many christians call me a Satan worshiper and Anti-Christ, because I do what the Messiah says.

I also had a good laugh at "I was under such bondage (following the dietary laws, the Feasts, the Sabbath)"

I have not been sick in YEARS since I stopped eating unclean foods..........talk about bondage....it never ceases to amaze me these sick religious nuts think that the feast and sabbaths are bondage.

Christianity is such a sick, false, filthy religion it is not even funny.

To be fair, some sports are: Gladiation, dueling and possibly curling...

Yeah... There's something wrong with people who like curling. haha
Someone who does not dearly love or welcome, entertain, look fondly upon or cherish people with strong affection or highly esteem them with great favour, goodwill or benevolence, be loyal to or greatly adore them has not known or understood, perceived or realized, noticed or discerned, discovered or observed, experienced or ascertained, learned about or distinguished, comprehended, acknowledged or recognized God*, for concerning this, God* is and exists as brotherly love and affection, good will, esteem and benevolence.

I take offense to that.

Not really, but curling is oddly addictive, I won't watch it all the time, but during the Olympics, it's one of the few things I will watch.
Don't take my word for it, Look it up.

Any time someone commands me to listen to their sales pitch about why they are The Hero Supremo before they'll give me the information I came looking for, like that nut job does, my eyelids drop about half way and my lips do some Olympic curling of their own.

I'm with you, James. I'll watch Olympic curling (which I am forever calling "icing" for some unknown reason), but I don't consider it to be a sport any more than croquet. How many laps must one run each day to be in shape for curling? How many hours should one spend in the gym or in a dojo to get into shape for the competitions? But is is fun to watch.

Being of Scottish-Irish heritage, I am sometimes ashamed that Scots invented bagpipes, curling, and skirts for men. But I get over it quickly enough, I reckon. :-)

You know that site is a good example of how christians promote "liberty" from the Law, and then fall into their bondage and cannot even watch a football game because it is sin.........talk about real bondage.
