I found this announcement of the release of the new book: "Angels and Wonders:
True Stories of Heaven on Earth, Joan Wester Anderson," and thought it might spark an interesting discussion. What is the role of angels in Scripture? Do you think they play an active role in our everyday lives, as this book suggests?

Quote:
New Angel Book by New York Times Best-Selling Author Released for "Be An Angel Day"

August 19, 2008 (Chicago) - As a woman flees an abusive boyfriend, her gas tank on empty, money materializes in her empty purse. Millions of fireflies suddenly appear and offer guiding light to desperate refugees trying to find a path through a mountain storm. Two women strongly sense that a missionary priest, far away, needs a prayer at the exact moment when he faces catastrophe. These are just a few of the more than thirty true stories recounted in Angels and Wonders: True Stories of Heaven on Earth (Loyola Press).

In Angels and Wonders, Joan Wester Anderson points readers to the spiritual realm for answers to otherwise inexplicable occurrences. For anyone inclined toward spirituality, each amazing story provides further proof of God's heavenly care in difficult times; for those who aren't sure if Heaven really does intervene on earth, this book provides plenty of reasons for them to doubt their disbelief.

Well, what I do know is this:

Colossians 2:18-19 "Let no one deprive you of the prize, one who takes delight in false humility and worship of messengers, taking his stand on what he has not seen, puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the Body – nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments – grows with the growth of Elohim."

1Ti 4:1-3 "But the Spirit distinctly says that in latter times some shall fall away from the belief, paying attention to misleading spirits, and teachings of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having been branded on their own conscience, forbidding to marry, saying to abstain from foods which Elohim created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth."

There has been a lot of teaching on angels lately and I don't need to remind people of Todd Bentley:

But can anyone answer Yada questions? And, how many messengers were created? Do we each one, or a few, guarding us? They seem to have an active role in fulfilling Yah's Word, take for instance Michael:

Jude 1:9 (ISR) "But Miḵa’ĕl the chief messenger, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Mosheh, presumed not to bring against him a blasphemous accusation, but said, "Yahuweh rebuke you!"
