An interesting video by Dr. Michael Brown, himself a Jew who has come to know the Messiah. There are other videos on the page that you might also like to check out.

Quote:
In Search of the Messiah

Jews have been waiting for the coming of the Messiah for 2000 years. Dr. Michael Brown visits Crown Heights, a Jewish neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. Many of the ultra Orthodox Jews believe that their grand rabbi, who died in 1994, is the Messiah.

My heart aches for them, but you can see from their attitude that the Jewish people will readily accept Yahushua Messiah when he comes. HalleluYAH!!

Shalom All,

Yes, I watched the video and they have been preparing for a Messiah. They will be shocked when they learn that the Lamb they rejected is haMaschiach. But all they have to do then is to let Him enter. What troubles me by is their refusal to acknowledge some plain Scripture but instead rely on expectations or conditions made by rabbis from centuries gone by. They think they have everything, but they are poor. They remind me of the Laodiceans in Rev 3:14-21.

On another note, there was a recent post in www.malaysia-today.net by a Malaysian who schooled in the USA and who befriended some friendly Jews, including a girl who reportedly told him that their religion teaches them that "Jews will rule the world one day and everyone else will serve them as second-class citizens." This is the impression he now has of Judaism and Zionism. Pity there are no visiting Jews in Malaysia to refute that statement.
The reverence of Yahweh is the beginning of Wisdom.

Yes, bitnet, it's amazing how effective a half-truth can be in creating an atmosphere of irrational hatred. A "Jew" (not "the Jews") is going to rule the world, alright, and His throne is going to be in Zion. And the restored and repentant Israelites (not the power-hungry rabbinical class, who will be weeded out before the kingdom even begins) will be honored citizens of His kingdom. But non-jews won't be second-class citizens unless they rebel against King Yahshua. This is precisely the kind of fact-based fiction that's calculated to send the Muslim population into an anti-Jewish frenzy. After all, ruling the world is their dream: Islamic fundamentalists on top and everyone else a dhimmi---or dead.
