I wonder how may of us wonder what it would take to rebuild the world in the coming Millenium. I for one sometimes find my mind wondering:
- what will the extent of the damage be?
- how it will the infrastructure be repaired?
- who repairs the world?
- will the world start a new limited dependency on fossil fuels while seeking new sources for energy
- will buildings be built tall again?
- who controls the newspapers?
- will we have an Internet?
- will there be television?
- will there be fixed and mobile telephone services?
- will there be software monopolies?
- will the tobacco companies be shattered and made history forever?
- what happens to healthcare and big pharma?
- will insurance companies be made redundant?
- will the priests of Zadok and the other Levites get fed-up of burnt offerings?
- who will own the satellites?
- will national boundaries other than Yisra'el's be redrawn?
- how do people get to Yisra'el if the transportation infrastructure is fractured and messed up?
- what about movies and theatre?
- will idolising celebrities come to a screeching halt?
- who builds the Temple and how long will it take?
- where will Yahushua go to after touching down on Mt Olivet if there is no Temple?
- can survivors really get to see Yahushua without going blind?
- how do the resurrected elect get involved in all of this work?
- where shall the resurrected stay?
- will we be posted to countries around the world?
- what will our dwelling be where stay and administer?
- will genetically modified crops be uprooted?
- what happens to big agri?
- will we start with a Jubilee year where all debts are cancelled and all ownership reverts back to Yahushua?
There are many, many more questions but it all seems so far away, and we are so concerned on the here and now that I sometimes feel foolish to think about these things. Are there others asking these same questions?
Peace and Blessings!
I've wondered about what mortal life would be like in the Millennial Sabbath as well. Would there be industry, making machines? The agricultural technology would certainly be very handy in creating a super-abundance of food, and with abundant food, I'm sure there would be no need for genetically modified crops. Would there be electricity, and what kind? Would man still have to mine for coal, drill for oil, and mine for uranium and build power plants for electrical power (and would the machines and electrical power have to be shut down every Seventh Day for a Sabbath rest as well?), or would Yahowah eliminate the need for that by supplying electrical power? After all, light and electricity are both forms of energy - Plug into God!
("Excuse me, Yahowsha, may I plug my refrigerator into you? I realize you may be a bit sensitive about having things stuck into you, but I'd really hate to have my leftover BBQ beef ribs spoil and go to waste…"
) If all the Earth is restored to conditions of the Garden of Eden, then air conditioning, and space heating and cooling devices would become mostly obsolete. I'm guessing the names of the days we currently use - "Sun-day", "Moon-day", "Tiu's day", "Woton's day", "Thor's day", "Freya's day", and "Saturn's day" - will have to go, probably replaced by numbered days. I suppose a lot of movies, television shows, video games, books, newspapers, and other entertainment will be carefully reviewed, and depending on content, either allowed to continue to exist, or ordered destroyed. I imagine that trade would start out with barter and work its way back to gold and silver coins, if there isn't already a handy stash of gold and silver coins. And since the Millennial Sabbath starts in a Yobel/Jubilee year, I'm sure everyone will start out with all debts cancelled (any creditors they had are likely all dead anyway). As for health care, probably a visit to Yahowsha for the healing touch could cure even the most serious ailments, just like during his redemptive advent, so drug makers would likely be rendered redundant and obsolete. Insurance probably would be obsolete, too. I wouldn't imagine there would be many, if any risks in the Earthly Kingdom of Yahowah to insure against - if I recall right, Scripture says that there won't be any more earthquakes or destructive storms in the Millennial Sabbath, and it will be a nice, calm millennium. And there will probably be some stores of airplane fuel and intact civilian airplanes to get over to Yisra'el, for those outside. Or ships could be built once again to travel by sea.
Anyway, those are my thoughts.
