Here are a couple more papers to help us on the names of Yeshua or Yahushua.
to THE KEY OF KNOWLEDGE
by Bill Burton
Many say that the True Name of the Almighty has been forgotten, others say that we will never know how to pronounce His or His Son's Name until the Son returns for He has a Name that no one knows but Himself (Rev 19:12). However, that refers to His New Name (Rev 2:17; 3:12) which possibly will describe His new mission or purpose for His second coming. At His first coming He was given a name while He was still in the womb by the Angel of IAUE that He was to be called (Matt 1'21; Luke 1'31).
The Messiah Himself said that He came in His Father's Name, and was given His Father's Name (John 5:43; !7:11,12) and other Scriptures verify that (Deut 18:18,19; Acts 3:19-23; 7:37; Eph 1:21; Phil 2:9-11; Heb 1:4,5;). So to answer the age old question posed by Agur the prophet, "What is His Name, and what is His Son's Name", we first have to know His Father's Name.
Jerry Healen in an article in the Qodesh asked the question, why not render the Name into four vowels in the first place, as IAUE. Why make a 6 or 7 letter name out of a four letter name. Why can we not transliterate vowels into vowels? "The KEY to the whole problem of how the Heavenly Father's Name is to be pronounced was GIVEN to us by Josephus. Josephus clearly states in the 'Wars of the Jews' that THE SACRED NAME CONSISTS OF FOUR VOWELS."
Now, the TETRAGRAM, when used as all vowels, can be and should be pronounced without any additional letters, and without the vowel points that the Masorites used as a deception to prevent the correct pronunciation of HaShem.—All of the confusion as to what is the correct pronunciation of the Heavenly Father's Name, and the deception used to disguised His Name, stem from the use of consonants as the Tetragram instead of correctly using vowels as Josephus stated. When the Tetragram is represented as consonants, in order to pronounce His name, vowels have to be added, and then it is no longer a Tetragrammaton! Then we wind up with a 6 or 7 letter name out of a 4 letter name as Mr. Healen so ably brought out.
The Jews by utilizing consonants as representing the Tetragram and using their system of vowel pointing, used the vowels 'e' 'o' 'a' in order to disguise His name. Christian scholars in the 1500's believing these vowels were the correct ones combined them with the consonants JHVH and thus they came up with the false hybrid name Jehovah.
Bishop Pearce in his book, The Revelation for the Last Days points out that the English letters YHWH are not the Tetragrammaton, because they do not form a word or name, but that the Hebrew letters äåäé (Yod-Hey-Waw-Hey) are the True Tetragrammaton for it is pronounceable name, when used as ALL VOWELS.
I believe that most who use Yahueh, or Yahuweh, use it instead of IAUE because many who first come into contact with IAUE at first glance find it difficult to pronounce. We are not used to seeing a word made up of all vowels, and Yahueh seems easier to pronounce.
However, once it is shown that the 'IA' is equal to the 'YAH' sound, the 'U' to the 'OO' sound, and the 'E' to the 'EH' sound, pronounced as IA-U'-E, or YAH-OO'-EH, we feel it is logical to use the Tetragram as that is how it was given to Moses and ALL the Prophets in the Old Covenant. To add other consonants to clarify its pronunciation is not necessary. Since the Tetragrammaton is made up of 4 VOWELS, and is pronounceable as it is, why add additional letters to pronounce His Name, when the Tetragram itself gives the correct pronunciation!
I don't believe it is wrong to represent the Heavenly Father's Name in English as Yahueh, or Yahuweh. However, again echoing Mr. Healen, especially when quoting Scripture, are we not adding to His Word when we add additional letters to His Name since He gave His Name as consisting of only 4 letters? Does the Scriptures which forbid the addition to His Word (Rev 22:18 and Prov. 30:5,6 and others), apply here where we are adding to His Name, even if it is to help in the pronunciation?
The Shofar Magazine in the article, 'The Missing "U" brought out, "This means of course that the pronunciation some of us have used, "Yah-way", is incorrect. What surprises me is that more people have not noticed this before now, as one could say it has been literally staring us in the face!" In the booklet "The Missing J" published by the Assemblies of Yahweh in Messiah, they say, "When we pronounce the Tetragrammaton IAOUE we get the sound "ee-ah-ou-eh. Saying it rapidly we produce "Yah-way ". No-way! This ignores the facts that 'ou' or 'oo' is not the same sound as our English 'w' and that the 'e' is short - it is not 'e' as in they."
There developed among the Sacred Name organizations contention as to whether the Waw (å) was a 'W' or a 'V', resulting in various pronunciations such as Yahweh, Yahveh, Yahvah and others. But it matters little whether the 'waw' as a consonant is a 'w' or a 'v' if Josephus is correct, for if the name is made up of all vowels neither are correct! Besides, all these variations utilize forms that consist of only two syllables, which clashes with Hebrew grammar, according to which the Name as having three syllables, not two", according to the Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament, Vol. 1, p. 211. Also, it must be noted that the Massoretes showed the Name as having three syllables, not two. They were Hebrews, following the rules of their language, thus showing that the Name has 3 syllables!" Another point we should not forget is that Hebrew is a strongly accented language. And that the accent must fall on either the last or second last syllable which would emphasize the double 'o' or long 'u' sound of the 'waw' (å) in His Name
Now, the English letter 'w' comes from the sound of a double 'u' and is considered a semi-vowel (most of the time the 'w' acts as a consonant, especially at the beginning of a word. However it can act as a vowel as in the words, dew, ewe, view, where it carries the long 'u' or 'oo' sound, or sew where it carries the 'o' sound, exactly like the Hebrew 'Waw' from which it originated). According to the book, A Simple Approach To Old Testament Hebrew published by Eks Pub. Co. on p 9 states, "When a waw functions as a vowel, sounded as 'o' or 'oo', it does not have the sound of the consonant 'w' as in water." The Jewish Encyclopedia brings out that at the beginning of a word the 'waw' retains its consonantal value, however inside a word the 'waw' (å) has the value of the English 'double u' (oo) sound. Some examples of this are:
Ru ach' - äåø (Spirit, as in the Set Apart [Holy] Spirit - Ruach HaKodesh)
Hal le lu'Yah - äììåéä (Praise ye Yahoo) - (the waw {å}is only underlined to show it)
Je ru'sa lem -íìùåøé
Yeh u' dah or actually Yah u'dah (Judah) - äãåäé (I will praise IAUE - Gen 29:35)
Yeh o shu'a or actually Yah-u -shu'-a (Joshua) - òåùåäé (The Name means IAUE - Savior—which is shortened to IAU- Savior {Yod Hey Waw - åäé Savior or Hebrew - Shua}which is the correct Name of the Messiah -IA-U-SHU'-A or YAH-U-SHU'-A)
Note that the waw -å- is pronounced as a double 'u' or 'oo' in the Father's Name (äåäé -YAH-OO'-EH) just as in the above examples.
Now, when you substitute the consonant 'W' for the vowel 'U', you are shortening His name from a three syllable word (IA-U'-E{H} -- (the vowels I and A as EE-Ah are combined as a diphthong into one syllable to form the sound Yah; therefore coming up with Yah-oo'-eh) which has the accent on the Second syllable, to a word with two syllables with the accent on the first syllable (Yah'-weh, or Yah'-veh), which is contrary to the rules of Hebrew grammar given above, plus inserting a consonant into a word which Josephus states consists of only vowels.
Josephus was a Hebrew scholar, priest, general and historian who lived from 37 AD to 100 AD. and is considered the most reliable historian of the New Testament era. As Jacob O. Meyer in his article, 'YHWH or YHVH'*7 points out that in the past some scholars found fault with Josephus because of his statement that the Set Apart Name was made up of 4 vowels. However recent scholarship has proven Josephus to be accurate in many areas, and the statement that the Set Apart Name consisted of 4 vowels is one area where he was completely correct. Before the Masoretes ever invented the 'vowel points' the early Hebrew had 5 letters that were used as vowels, even though they also had a value as a consonant. These letters were known as matres lectionis (mothers of reading), and 3 of them are used in the Tetragrammaton proving Josephus to be correct. The 3 Hebrew letters are Yod Hey Waw (åäé), with the letter Hey (ä) being used twice to make up the forth letter of the Tetragrammaton.
Many of the Hebrew Prophets have names that have The Almighty's Name combined with a word or phrase that either tells their mission, or describes some attribute of IAUE. When His name is used to form the name of a Prophet, person, or place, His Name is always used in a contracted form, either as äé (Yod Hey—IA, or Yah) or åäé (Yod-Hey Waw—IAU or Yahoo).
Where His Name is in the primary position (in front of the name) it is almost always the Trigrammaton (åäé -IAU or Yahoo), although the Masorites through their vowel pointing changed it to be pronounced as Yeho. In fact, even when IAUE'S Name appears at the end of a name, approximately 70% of the time it appears as åäé (IAU) instead of the YAH that we have been taught. This fact is hidden from all Bible readers except those that can read the Old Testament Hebrew!.
Murashu texts from the 5th century BCE revealed Yahwistic Names started with YAHU (IAU) instead of the Massoretic vowel pointing of YEHO which the Massoretes used to begin Yahwistic Names. This has great significance, as the Murashu Texts being much much older than the Massoretic Texts (Massoretic text was written around the 7th century CE, so the Murashu Texts are more than 1,200 years older) are more valid, both historically and linguistically. Since the Murashu Texts were written before the Talmud was written, the scribes who wrote them were not under the compulsion to hide, or disguise the Heavenly Father's Name, like the Massoretes, who were instructed by penalty of death to do so by the Talmud. This shows that the Masoretic vowel pointing 'E O A' under Ha-Shem (the Set Apart Name) was done for the purpose of disguising Ha-Shem and not just for the purpose of substituting the name Adonai. The Old Testament Scriptures give ample proof of the common, although reverential use of the Name in Israel before the time of captivity and in the immediate post-exilic period.
As we brought out before, when Ha-Shem is used to form other Yahwistic Names the full form of The Name is never used, instead one of the two shorter forms is used in its place. Of the two shorter forms of Ha-Shem (äé--IA , and åäé --IAU), IAU is the older original Hebrew form of the Name. It alone appears in the Lashish letters, and in the Murashu documents it is used almost exclusively at the beginning of a name which contains Ha-Shem. The later or modern form IA or YAH, is post exile, and comes from the Aramaic influence, not from the original Hebrew. Aramaic increased in influence particularly after the Exile, and towards the start of the New Testament era it supplanted Hebrew as the spoken language of the Jews.
All these different facts all support the fact that the little known shortened form of Ha-Shem, the Trigrammaton - åäé (IAU), is the Secret, the Key, 'The Missing Linguistic Link' to the full form of the Name of the Heavenly Father, IAUE and the link between the Name of the Father and His Son, our Messiah, IAUSHUA.
Once we know the Heavenly Father's Name it is easy to come up with His Son's Name. It is only logical that the Son would inherit His Father's Name, and all the Scriptures relating to the Name of the Messiah attest to this fact, namely that the Son of IAUE in fact carries His Father's Name in His own Name. The Messiah Himself said that He came in His Father's Name, and that He was given His Father's Name (John 5:43; 17:11,12 NIV, NAS).
In Philippians 2:9,10 the Apostle Sha'ul tells us that IAUE highly exalted Him and gave Him the Name which is above every Name, and that in honor of the Name given IAUSHUA, every knee will bow. Psms 148:13 tells us that only the Name IAUE is exalted, Isa 45: 21-23 tells us that it is the Name IAUE that every knee will bow. Peter tells us that IAUSHUA is the stone that is the chief corner stone to those that believe, but a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to those who stumble or are disobedient to the Word (1st Pet 2: 4-8, and Acts 4:11). Isaiah tells us that IAUE Himself is that Stone of stumbling and Rock of offense (Is 8:13,14).
In Acts 4:11,12 (JNT) Kefa tells us, "This IAUSHUA is the Stone rejected by you builders which has become the cornerstone. There is Salvation in no one else! For there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by whom we must be saved! Yet, in Is 43:3,11; 49:26; 60:16; and Hosea 13:4, IAUE Himself declares that He is the Savior, Redeemer, and Set Apart One of Israel, and there is NO OTHER SAVIOR! So, since Scripture can not be broken, and IAUE does not lie (Jo. 10:35; and Num 23:19), the SAVIORS NAME must harmonize Joel 2:32, Isa 43:3,11; 49:26;, 60:16; with Acts 4:10-12 and Rom 10:9-13. Therefore the Savior's Name has to have His Father's Name in it to harmonize these scriptures.
So by taking the older, Hebrew version of the shortened form of the Heavenly Father's Name åäé( I-A-U), and combining it with His Son's mission as stated by the angel of IAUE to Joseph, that He (IAUE'S Son) shall save His (IAUE'S) people from their sins, you come up with the Savior's Name - IA-U-SHU'-A – òåùåäé, pronounced Yah-oo-shu'-ah.. When said fast, the Waw in the Trigramaton tends to sound as a long 'o' instead of a long 'u' sound, making it sound as Yah-o-shu'-a.
Psms 118:14 we read; "Yah is my strength and song, and He has become my Salvation (Strongs 3444 - Yeshuwah-- äòåùé). There it is : the Yeshuwah of Yah! When we combine it in the Hebrew manner we have the Name that is above every Name: YAHUSHUA – òåùåäé. All of Psm 118 is prophetic regarding Messiah, but verse 14 is a literal repetition of Ex. 14:2, a part of Moses song. Isa 12:2 is likewise, except it utilizes both the short form and the full form along with it: "IA, IAUE (äåäé äé) is my strength and my song; He has become my Yeshuwah". According to Scripture, 2 or 3 witnesses are required to establish sure proof., and here we have 3 such witnesses. The abbreviated form of the Father's name, "Yah or IAU" has the meaning of life, eternal life. The later part of the Messiah's Name, 'SHUA', bears the meaning of SALVATION (Hebrew "Y'SHUA", or more fully, "YeSHUWAH")
Stan Fears brings out in Isa 49:6, IAUE states, "I will also give You for a light to the Gentiles, that You may be MY SALVATION unto the end of the earth." In this passage we find the meaning of His Name and His purpose for coming to this earth.. He came to be a light to the world by upholding and living His Father's Word as an example to us. He offers all men salvation through Himself from the Father with emphasis that "YAHWEH (IAUE) IS SALVATION." He is Yahweh's (IAUE'S) salvation in the sense that He is the Father's agent/spokesman/Word and represents Yahweh in offering salvation to mankind, including the Gentiles!
Mr. Fears brought out that Isaiah chapter 49 is recognized as a prophecy of the Messiah, and that verse 1 states that from the womb IAUE made mention of His Name. This is a direct reference to Matt 1:21 where the Angel of IAUE directed Joseph what to name the Savior while He was still in Miriam's womb. Earlier he brought out that both the problem of not understanding the Savior's Name, as well as the key to understanding it are found in this same Scripture (Matt 1:21), where the angel gave Joseph specific instructions from IAUE on what to name His Son.
Most versions of the Scriptures for Matt 1:21 basically state, "She will bear a son , and you shall call Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. "Misunderstanding an important message in this passage has caused much of the confusion as to the correct Hebrew name of the Messiah, that was originally delivered to Joseph."
"This misunderstanding has caused many, including most Messianic Jews, to accept 'Yeshua' as the true and correct Hebrew name for the Savior. Why? Because they believe, from what the angel gave as the reason for His Name that His Name means "He will Save." The name 'Yeshua' in Strong's Hebrew Dictionary is #3442, and means 'he will save."
Most Scholarly sources all confirm that the Savior's Name, as it was originally given in Matt 1:21, means 'IAUE saves' 'IAUE will save', 'IAUE is Salvation', not 'He saves'. The 'He', who is to save his people from their sins is IAUE the Son, who was sent here to accomplish this by IAUE the Father. The Father named Him 'IAUE is Salvation' or 'Salvation of Yah' when He came in the flesh to offer IAUE'S Salvation to mankind. IAUE gave His Son this name so that people of every nation would come to realize that it was IAUE, the Elohim of the Hebrews that sent His only begotten Son, so that we might have salvation and receive everlasting life.. The Son was given that Name so that everyone on earth would know that it is IAUE, the Mighty One of Israel, that 'Saves' those who choose to be His people!
The Name Yahushua has a vital Scriptural meaning: He is the "Salvation of Yah!" The Name Jesus however, does not mean "the Salvation of Yah" at all. What is more, the name Jesus does not etymologically relate to, or resemble the Scripturally prophesied and revealed "YeSHUWAH" of Yah at all. So, how do we come up with the Name Jesus? Well we know that the name Jesus comes from the Greek name Iesous. Iesous is supposed to be the Greek transliteration of the Jewish name Yeshua. Since the Greek alphabet has no 'sh' sound in it, it was carried over into Greek as Iesous (EE AY SOUS). Now, the name Yeshua means, "He will save" (from Strongs 3442, 3443- òåùé-yay-shoo'ah, where we learn it is of Chaldean origin, or Aramaic, which was the language of the Chaldeans, or Babylonians).
We saw earlier that the short form of the Heavenly Father's Name, Yah (äé) was due to the Aramaic influence, and that the intermediate form or Trigrammaton (IAU or YAHU - åäé) was the older, Hebrew shortened form of the Heavenly Father's Name IAUE (äåäé). So due to the Aramaic influence, the Savior's Name was shortened up from òåùåäé (YAHUSHUA or IAUSHUA) to òåùäé (YAHSHUA), and later, to prevent the pronunciation of the Father's Name to òåùé (YESHUA).
"Yeshua is not identical at all to the Name Yahshua (Yahushua) because it rejects the Name of the Heavenly Father Yahweh (IAUE) whose poetic abbreviation (åäé) serves as the first part. ... The term Yeshua, is a verb whose root is found in yasha (òùé)... Consequently, the term Yeshua is then merely a Hebrew verb WITHOUT REFERENCE to the Name of Yahweh (or Yah ) [IAUE or IAU] which was designed to give us eternal life and everlasting existence!...""...The Kittel Theological Dictionary of the New Testament under the term "J-s-s" contains the following: 1) the Greek form of a list of Old Testament characters who in pre-exilic Hebrew are called {IAUSHUA} [òåùåäé] and usually after the exile {Yeshua}[òåùé]....".
"The full form (Yahshua) [actually Iaushua, it is Yod-Hey-Waw-shua - òåùåäé] in Hebrew is a sentence name, in which the subject comes first and represents a form (the Trigramaton åäé - IAU) of the Name äåäé , and in which the verb is a subsidiary form of the verb òùé [yasha] ... which means 'to help' (or to save, salvation). ... The shortened form [Yeshua] no longer expresses the Theophoric element clearly, directing attention simply to the verb [Yasha] ... The form Yeshua came into existence when the Jews originated their doctrinal decision to substitute for the Name Yahweh [IAUE].... the historical setting of this rejection was about the time that Alexander the Great ... that the Name Yahweh [IAUE] was deliberately hidden from the people so that profane or common people would no longer be able to pronounce it!"
Dr. Zeitlin in his article, "Judaism and Professors of Religion" tells us that äåùé (Yeshua) is not Hebrew. In Hebrew, the name is written òùåäé (or òåùåäé both forms pronounced as Yahoshua or Yahushua -- åäé or Yod-Hey-Waw equates to either I-A-U or I-A-O)
Dr. Koster brings out, "Two factors contributed greatly to the substitution and distortion of our Savior's Name. The first was the unscriptural superstitious teaching of the Jews that the Father's Name is not to be uttered, that it is ineffable, that others will profane it when they use it, and that the Name must be 'disguised' outside the temple. Because of the Father's Name being in His Son's Name, this same disastrous suppression of the Name resulted in them (? the Greeks) giving a Hellenised, in fact a surrogate name for our Savior... The second factor was the strong anti-Judaism that prevailed amongst the Gentiles... The Gentiles wanted a Savior, but not a Jewish one. They loathed/hated the Jews, they even loathed the Elohim of the Old Testament. The Messianic faith, and its Savior, had to become Hellenised to be acceptable to the Gentiles.".
This Hellenisation of our Savior's Name was done so cleverly, and thoroughly that through out the whole world He is known by both Christian and Non-Christian alike by the surrogate name of Jesus; not by His True original Name given to Him by His Father, the only Name given among men whereby we must be saved, according to Acts 4:12. Not one of the Surrogate names (the Jewish Yeshua, Greek Iesous, Latin Iesus or the English Jesus) which have been used to replace His True Name given to Him by His Father, have the Father's Name in them. This fulfills the prophecy part of John 5:43, where the Messiah said if another comes in his own name (not the Messiah's True Name which has His Father's Name incorporated within His Name), him you will accept, and the whole world has accepted this Hellenised Greek savior!
In order to prove all things we need to search out all the Scriptures relating to the subject that we are studying. If one will but do an honest evaluation of all the Scriptures relating to His Name, you will see He places the utmost importance to the Name He gave to mankind to worship, and praise Him by. The etymology of His Name shows it to be a most gracious promise 'to become' whatever is wisest and best for the people who love him and keep his commandments.
Many Messianic believers feel they are keeping the whole Torah, but in fact refuse to proclaim or articulate His Name either because they feel that His Name is 'too holy' to pronounce according to the Jewish Tradition, or out of deference to the Jewish people who refuse to pronounce it. Either way they are transgressing IAUE'S Torah and are failing to carry the complete Good News (Gospel) of the Almighty, which has to include proclaiming the Heavenly Father's Name as well as His Son's Name. The Scriptures commands us to use, to call upon and to proclaim to the nations, the Name of the Almighty. Throughout the Scriptures we are told to Proclaim HIS NAME and to esteem and magnify HIS NAME and to remember that HIS NAME IS EXALTED! (1 Chr 16:8-36; Psms 96:1-4; 105:1-3; 117 All; 138:2; 148:13; Isa 12 All; Rom 15:9-11). The apostle Sha'ul, after stating that 'for everyone who calls on the Name of äåäé shall be saved', goes on and asks the questions: But how can they call on Him if they haven't believed in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they haven't heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him if no one is proclaiming Him (Rom 10:13,14). How can we call upon His Name, proclaim His Name, or magnify His Name if we if we do not know His Name or refuse to let others know His Name?
The Messiah said in Yn 4:22 that True Worshippers shall worship in Spirit and in Truth. There is enough evidence to prove that the name that Christianity uses for our Savior is not His True Name, or His 'correct Hebrew' Name, and that the surrogates that are used in place of His 'Correct' Name are linked to names derived from Pagan deities. We are told by His 'Word' in the Old Testament not to even mention the names of pagan 'Gods', and that all the Gods of the nations are idols . 1 Cor 10:14-22 essentially tells that we cannot mix IAUE'S worship with the worship of other Gods (Idolatry). So how can you have a 'personal relationship' if you know that the surrogate name used to replace His Name comes from names that He or His Son tells us we are not even supposed to mention. How can you have a 'personal relationship' or friendship with anyone and call them a derogatory name that was given them by their enemy, especially if they requested you not to do so.
Does this mean that we can not use the commonly used names that are derived from pagan deities when we are trying to explain the reason the Almighty doesn't want us to use them, especially as a substitute for His name? No, of course not. Mr. Bradshaw*17 brings out that there are many examples in the Scriptures where Moses and other prophets had to mention Pagan names in order to communicate with the people. So, while we should make every effort to avoid mentioning names linked to idolatry, there will be times when it is necessary to use such names for communication and / or instructive purposes, as long as the idol is not praised in any way to show acceptance or favoritism. We don't have to necessarily be fanatical about trying to avoid certain words in English because they may or nay not link back to paganism of the past, however, we certainly would not want to use such words in our worship of IAUE.
The Jews became known as 'People of the Book', because they at least attempted to Keep the Law of IAUE, even if their myriad of added laws made the law a yoke of bondage, making it impossible to keep. We also know that the Pharisees and the Scribes did hold the Almighty in awe (fear) and in their fear (worship, reverence) of the Almighty they both taught and tried to keep the Law. Yet IAUSHUA condemned them for transgressing the Laws of IAUE by their tradition, thereby making the Laws of IAUE to be none effect, and reproached them for preventing others from coming to God (IAUE) by keeping their learning secret, and not even using it themselves.*18 We know it was the 'oral law, or traditions of the elders' when it conflicted with the written Law of IAUE, that IAUSHUA objected to in Mk 7, and it was this 'oral law, or tradition' that stated , "This is My Name, to be hidden" {which was supposedly given by the Almighty, which later became the written command of the Talmud}.*19 Can this be the learning of the Scribes and Pharisees that they kept secret from the common people, the 'Key' to Knowledge that IAUSHUA referred to in Luke 11:52? All evidence from the Scriptures and the Talmud point in that direction!!
Can the knowledge of the Almighty's Name be so important, as to be the 'Key' to His Knowledge? We know that it was purposely hidden, kept secret, and disguised in order to keep it from being profaned or defiled or to be used as a magic incantation. We also know the result of this has been that His Name has been almost completely forgotten by His people, and His Name has been substituted, and replaced by names and titles associated with other deities. This breaks the 3rd Commandment, and those Laws relating to adding and taking away from His Word. It also goes further against the will of IAUE, in that His people are supposed to Praise His Name, and Make His Name and His Word Known throughout the world. You cannot make a name known through out the world if you can not even pronounce or spell it.
One of the definitions of the word Key was vital importance. Also the word vital means essential for Life, to give life, or life giving. The Name IAUE is the expanded form of IA, or IAU, and is derived from the Hebrew verb of existence äéä (Hayah - Strongs #1961) which means the Everliving one - (He Who always was, Who is now, and Who always will be). For a person to be saved and have eternal life, he has to call upon the only Name that can save someone from eternal death, and that is IAUE - Romans 10:13; Acts 2:21; Joel 2:32; or IAUE-SAVIOR (IAUSHUA) Acts 4:12.
In Ex 3: 15 we find the Name HE wants to be remembered by is IAUE (äåäé)), and that it means; HE will become, what ever is necessary to become for the needs and salvation of his people: also meaning life, even everlasting life. Knowing His Name and the meaning of His Name, that the Name is a direct manifestation of his character inspires the awe, reverence, worship, or fear of IAUE, that is the beginning (the Key) of knowledge, or wisdom!
So the tradition which breaks IAUE'S Laws and has to do with the Key to His Knowledge has to be the tradition started by the Scribes and Priests prohibiting the use of the Almighty's Name; also substituting other names for His, and disguising it, so the common people and other nations would not know His Name. This tradition of substituting another Name in place of the Heavenly Father's Name has resulted in His Name to be forgotten and brought to nothing and the Son's Name not to have His Father's Name in His Name. This not only breaks the Third Commandment, but also the laws prohibiting the pronouncing of Pagan Deities, and the Laws of adding and deleting from His Word.
The Key of IAUISTIC Knowledge is the Name of IAUE - the Key of Salvation {Joel 2:32; Acts 2:21}; the Key to IAUISTIC LIFE! On their own admission, the scribes removed the Name IAUE 134 times. They were not interested in the proclamation of the Name IAUE, but rather, in general, in removal of the name from public knowledge, and hindered those interested in the kingdom of IAUE, who would have profited by THIS KEY OF KNOWLEDGE."
The consequence of this tradition that takes away the Key of Knowledge is this. -- Today, 90% of the world have never heard or understood the Name of the Heavenly Father or our Savior. This is a direct result of the tradition of substituting another Deities name or title for the Name of IAUE!
Now there are many spirit filled Christians who are sincere in their worship of the Almighty even though they are using names for Him which originated in pagan religions. Those believers who recognize the importance of using the correct Hebrew names for the Father and the Son need to be tolerant of others who do not recognize the importance the Almighty places on His Name.. And as Daniel Botkin brings out, "If we are going to teach and correct others, we must do it with patience and love. And we need to pray, as King Hezekiah did, "May the good Lord (IAUE) pardon every one who seeks Elohim, IAUE Elohim of our fathers (2nd Chr 30:18,19). IAUE tells us in Hosea 4:6 that His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, and because they rejected knowledge, He would reject them

However, even though they feel in their hearts they are following 'all the Commandments' they have...
