I was unsure of where to post this, so I apologize if I'm in the wrong 'place'
:)

Just curious as to your thoughts on the Climate Change, well, Fraud, in my opinion, being slammed into us.
Not sure if anyone here is aware of the emails that were hacked and, to me, proved the fraudulent 'science' going on behind the scenes.
If you are unsure...see: hmm...well.......here:

http://www.realclearpoli...the_fix_is_in_99280.html
There are other 'sources', but this is the first that came up for me on a google search~

My President (I cringe when I type that) Obama is going to Copenhagen soon for these 'climate' talks.

Even thought the fraud, to me, has been proven....it's just being ignored by UN leaders, etc. It boggles my mind.

Just curious as to your thoughts here. Many of us over here in the USofA are so Angry about this. They want to 'tax the world'...to what? save the planet?
Oh, if I don't laugh, I'll cry.....anyway....

Like I said, I've been browsing this forum for any thoughts on it...can't find any, so I thought I'd throw this out there.

If you tell me I'm supposed to believe in 'man made global warming' I may have to shoot myself. just kidding! I'd never do that! lol~

:)
peace,

Hello Bridget,

There is a scientific aspect to this subject although we've yet to bring in a Scriptural aspect to it. I might think that what you wrote so far would better fit the "World News and Events" folder.

I do accept that our planet has experienced climate change. We have historical references to a "little ice age" during the middle ages and evidence for more ancient ice ages. With this in mind I think that it's fair to say that our globe's climate is not set a specific thermostat and not subject to change unless people emit carbon. I also see evidence for the climate warming over the 20th century with sea levels rising between 12 to 18 inches. The warmest decade on record however was the 1930s with the warmest year 1933 if I recall correctly. The problem with evaluating the science of man made global climate change is that we can only analyze trends that have occurred and not be too certain in where the models are going. This is really problematic when all of the variables all not fully accounted for. As an example the warmest recent year 1998 was an el-nino year and the climate has leveled or cooled since then. The role of sunspot activity does not seem to be adequately accounted for. While I don't think all of the science is "junk" it is speculative.

I addressed the scientific questions some above and at the risk of getting overly political I'll say that I think you're wise to examine the policies that are being advocated and whom stands to gain and who will be harmed. For my part in New York, I wouldn't mind if the climate were warmer and I could endure Floridian winters for a change. Unfortunately I can verify that the climate hasn't changed to my liking yet. I also find the costs to be devastating to an economy in trouble while the benefit irrelevant if the globe were not to work together even if the warmers were completely correct otherwise.
I'm now wondering about what the end times prophecies say on the subject? Increased storm activity seems possibly connected to climate change.

Well, I have no doubt that the climate changes. That's the nature of the planet.

But, for man to actually have an impact?
I think people confuse pollution and climate change.

Man Made global warming seems so silly. We breathe, therefore CO2 happens. Besides, a volcano produces so many 'pollutants' , what would we do, cork it?
And there are scientists now actually breeding sheep that do not burp! It's true! I just think that is absurd. Call me crazy.

I think it's just a scheme to make money and money is definitely being made. I could be wrong, but that's why I came here to hear thoughts on it~

Hey Bridget, here's a thread you might be interested in, http://www.yadanews.com/...ede-US-Sovereignty.aspx, and it too has a link in it to another thread where we briefly discuss it again.

In my personal opinion, there is definitely a change in the weather. Even when I was a teenager, being a surfer and all, I knew the weather cycles were changing as I paid attention to meteorologists and even spent time trying to learn how to predict weather and the movement of the oceans myself.

But, the UN are a clearly socialist political movement with a serious agenda, and Global Warming plays into their hands perfectly because through it rich countries are encouraged (nay, forced) to commit financially to helping (giving their money) to poor countries. Rich and powerful countries will slowly give up more and more of their sovereignty to the UN, becoming one-step closer to a One World Government every day. Isaiah 10:13-14 speaks of every nation willingly conceding sovereignty to the Antichrist, and it really sounds like the UN in a way because they too subdue the kings of nations and are trying to plunder their treasures and remove their borders.

But let's say the polar caps did completely melt, then what? Would earth benefit from the extra water available or would it could more damage as what the UN are suggesting?

Oh yes - Global warming is happening - but its something that has always happened - its a cycle the earth goes through... maybe because of our time in history being closer to the end it will be worse this time, but its not to do with cars, fossil fuel or cows farting.

I believe that the global climate change is man caused for SURE

The cause isn't cars or coal

It's SIN

If Yahuweh hadn't had to curse the ground
If Adam hadn't been kicked out of the garden
If Yahuweh hadn't been forced to bring the flood

How different would the climate be?

Just wanted to post an interesting article I came across:

http://www.breitbart.com...ong-side-climate-change/

The first three paragraphs of the article sum it up well:

The climate models used by alarmist scientists to predict global warming are getting worse, not better; carbon dioxide does far more good than harm; and President Obama has backed the “wrong side” in the war on “climate change.”

So says one of the world’s greatest theoretical physicists, Dr Freeman Dyson (pictured above), the British-born, naturalised American citizen who worked at Princeton University as a contemporary of Einstein and has advised the US government on a wide range of scientific and technical issues.

In an interview with Andrew Orlowski of The Register, Dyson expressed his despair at the current scientific obsession with climate change which he says is “not a scientific mystery but a human mystery. How does it happen that a whole generation of scientific experts is blind to the obvious facts.”
