I am trying to understand the reference at the end of Romans 1:21-23 to birds, four-footed animals and crawling creatures, from: Chapter 2 ’Owr Light To quote: Quote:in the form of corruptible and perishing man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures." (Romans 1:21-23) The complete chapter can be found here: http://www.yadayahweh.co..._Yahweh_Genesis_Owr.YHWHDoes anyone know what this refers to? Thanks. -Yahudim

Idols. They chose to swap out Yahweh for something far less breaking the first two commandments and blinding themselves from the rest.

"Idols" is correct generally, but I see an undercurrent of uncleanness here---the reference in part denotes things that were declared "unclean" as food in the Torah---most all "creeping things" and most birds and four footed beasts were unclean. There was a short, specific list of animals that were acceptible as sacrifices to Yahweh and as food, but all animals that walked around on paws were unclean, as were scavenger birds, most insects, and quadrapeds that didn't have divided hooves and chew their cud. Satan loves to glorify the unclean and denigrate whatever God has called clean. Thus he encourages fallen man to worship idols of unclean beasts. God, as always, lets us choose our own fate.
